[excised boring introduction] And her recent roles are ones that'd make Gabriella Montez blush: She plays the daughter of a drug addict in next year's Beastly and a tough, edgy girl in the action fantasy Sucker Punch... It's funny because before High School Musical, I wanted to be a nitty-gritty actress. And High School Musical came along, and, I was like, "Oh my god, fun!" But the more we did it, the more prude I became... When I am around kids and they come up to me, of course I am going to act a certain way, but at the end of the day, I'm doing this for myself. I'm going to be doing movies kids can't watch.Es ist lustig, weil vor High School Musical wollte ich eine wesentliche Schauspielerin sein. Und High School Musical kam so daher, und, ich war wie "Oh mein Gott, Spaß!" Aber je mehr wir taten, desto spröder wurde ich... Wenn ich Kinder um rum habe und sie zu mir kommen, habe ich natürlich vor, auf eine andere Art zu schauspielern, aber am Ende des Tages, tue ich dies für mich selber. Ich habe vor, Filme zu machen, welche Kinder nicht schauen können.
G: Where do you see yourself either in work or in life in five years? Will you be married? Will you have kids? (UGH RME, she isn't going to tell YOU, Glamour.)G: Wo siehst du dich selber in fünf Jahren, bei der Arbeit oder im Leben? Wirst du verheiratet sein? Wirst du Kinder haben? Oh my goodness! [Laughs.] I'm becoming more adventurous. When I was younger, I used to be super, super shy. I still find myself being scared of things. I want to try doing sportier things, kite surfing and paddle surfing - I think it would give me extra confidence. (GREAT DODGE.)Ach du meine Güte! [lacht.] Ich werde immer abenteuerlicher.
